Lab8-Thermal & Multispectral - Pensacola landscape

Finally, I'm making some headway in understanding the terms and more of ERDAS software commands. This exercise was to find an interesting part of the Pensacola landscape and make it stand out using various band combinations.  The photo is from Landsat 4-5 TM, from WRS-2 Path 20/Row 39. The image was taken September 10, 2011.   After finishing the original tasks of our exercise, I saw what appeared in bright orange a "mitten" shape.   It looks like a natural shaped agricultural spot near a water source. When inspecting the area, several other tracts are also the same bright florescent green color, but not all are near water or unnatural in shape.  I'd like to do an in situ inspection to learn what is creating the color emphasis.
